32" X 96" X 8" Neon Porsche Artwork
 
This piece was inspired by the history and early beginings of the Porsche 911. Originally presented as the 901, the 911 lived on as a fan-favorite and inspired many a motorist over the past 60+ years. 
 
Working from early blueprint images, the artwork was formed by pulling and handpainting the basic form onto it's steel canvas.  A matte, warm white was selected to depict a soft, aged paper. Features were simplified and distilled down into neon linework, highlighting the neccesary strokes needed to encompass the first 911. The piece was then worked to create a hand-rubbed graphite feel, as though it were a rough draft having been sketched out in a recent period . The final touch to finish the artwork is a warm-white neon, with a dimmable transformers attached to create the perfect ambiance, customizeable to your space.
 
While the model has come a long way from it's original 130HP and 4.5" wide wheels, the original still inspires us today. This is why we have chosen to fortify this icon into a piece of art that will last longere than the next 60 years.
